January 3rd Parking Schedule

Here is this weeks parking schedule! Many thanks to Rebekah Haney for putting together our schedule this month. She is going to help a ton with this and it is much appreciated. I have 2 guys in green on the schedule and they are team leads for this sunday. If something needs to be dealt with talk with one of them. If something comes up and you cant make it send them an email and they can help figure something out. With the growth of Eastlake over the past several years our team has had to be flexible and handle things on the fly. I expect 2010 to be more of the same. Lots of growth and new opportunities to introduce people to Christ.

We are losing several key individuals who have helped out for a long time. They will be attending the Bellevue campus and we will miss them very much! Craig Shanks and Dave Johnson your efforts have been outstanding. If anyone else is leaving for Bellevue please let me know.

Thanks so much to Pastor Garrett for coordinating the team over the past month! We are all going to pray for great things to happen in Bellevue. Lets make 2010 an amazing year at Eastlake!

Hey everyone! Thanks for filling out my email to most of you! As you can see I am trying to rotate everyone to accomodate schedules and just trying to keep everyone fresh. Thanks for all your help! This is a tough job but is so vital to the church! It would be much easier and probably fun to just attend church and not get involved in serving. Thank you to everyone for your awesome help. As you can see we are still a little weak in a lot of spots! I still need to get more people involved to continue to make parking the strongest team at Eastlake!

June 7th Parking Assignments and Worship night!

Friday night is worship night! 1 year ago today I got baptized! If you have been thinking about getting baptized but never done it than come tonight and do it! What an unbelievable experience!

Also, I need everyones help in recruiting people for parking. If you know of someone that has been coming to Eastlake for a while and hasn't really plugged in to serve somewhere please let me know. We have had some defectors to other teams (Peter) and our numbers need to be restocked. Anyway thanks for all you do and hope to see you tonight at Worship night and at Russells afterword. Parking Assignments May 17th

Hey everyone! Well, our morning crew has gotten a little smaller as Peter and Pat have left and headed for greener pasture! Pat is working the night shift and Peter is going to help with something production related! So with that in mind and the fact that we will be shifting to 1 night service this summer I'm going to be looking for some additional help in the mornings. Mainly the exit after the 11:20 service!

Let me know what your schedule will be like this summer and please try and think of anyone who might be hanging out and would be great to get involved. If you know of someone give me a name and number and I will call them. Also, it's summer growth group time and we have a number of parking team members who are leading groups. Paul Anderson, Dave Johnson, Eric Koho, Stephen Branstetter, Ken Davis and several others are leading groups. Send me your info and I will post your group on the blog so the parking team knows about them. I will be gone this weekend but Rob Rees is around and will be communicating with people on where to be. Mothers Day Parking Assignments

Here is the mothers day schedule! I am filling it as best as I can because it's gonna be busy!

This next week we are going to try to send more people to the back earlier. Less filling up the early rows and more filling up the back. There has been an issue with kids walking through the sanctuary while the service is going on! So, we are going to send more people to the back earlier and probably even leave row 2 coned off until the service is about to start. That way there will always be parking up front. Thanks and see you sunday. Any thoughts? We could have another parking team meeting/beer drinking party at Russells one of these days to iron things out? Any takers?

Parking Assignments April 19th

Here is this weeks parking info. I am looking for any people that could stick around for the post 11:00 service to help with exit. We will need some additional help. Also, we are changing service times to 9:20 and 11:20 to help even out the difference between the two services. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the changes coming. Thanks to everyone who helped on Easter it was awesome. This team is the best team at Eastlake! I dont have a problem saying that to anyone! thanks and see you sunday!

She does more than just smile and wave!

Joan Glenn: was the only parking team member to wear a dress on Easter, she keeps Pat and Bconn out of trouble and also makes sure Dougan doesn't wander into traffic! This past week she also helped with the delivery of Ryan and Michelle Meeks newest family member... Dodge! Way to go Joan! Guiness is definitely my post delivery beer of choice!

Easter Parking Schedule

My name is Matt Foley! Brian asked me to talk to everyone about parking this sunday! There are going to be a lot of people visiting Eastlake for the first time and the parking team is the first thing they will notice! I may even drive my Van in to see if this parking lot is a better place than down by the river! He wants each team to meet in the lobby 10 minutes before the end of the service to get motivated! Thanks to everyone for comitting to helping and playing a role in this event. We will be coning off the lot on Saturday night so please park in the easy out lots! March 22nd Parking!

Okay, I am finally feeling better and this parking team has been doing great! Thanks to everyone who has been so consistent with their help! Being outside in the cold and rain is energy draining and I appreciate all of your help! We are coming up on Easter and our 1 year anniversary at Eastlake. I was asked to get this message from Pastor Ryan to the team! Check it out and I will see you all on Sunday! One last note! The reason I have asked this weeks poll question is because I am really curious how many people have joined the parking team that started coming to Eastlake in the last year! It helps me understand stuff!



MESSAGE FROM PASTOR RYAN:

Hey EastLake Volunteers!

Let me begin by saying, you are the best of the best around here! All
that has gone on around here over the past 4 years is because of
awesome volunteers like you who serve in countless ways all year long.
The hundreds of baptisms are a record of your faithfulness in serving
and tithing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I wanted to write you and ask you to join me in prayer and fasting for
this Easter Sunday, which is just around the corner. If there is one
thing we have learned over our history as a church, it is that when we
partner with Jesus to do great things in his name... when we pray and
fast for spiritual breakthrough... and when we prepare to expectantly
receive a wave of blessing, God has always shown up HUGE!

On Tuesday March 24th and Tuesday April 7th, I'd like to invite you to
pray and fast with me as we ask God to reach people this Easter. On
March 24th I would encourage you to pray that God would make it clear
to you who to bring to Easter Services. Perhaps you can even bring a
friend to each service? On April 7th lets focus on praying that God
would use the Easter service, the music, the message, and the smiles
of volunteers like you to open their hearts to the saving grace of
Jesus.

If you have never fasted before, what a cool opportunity to try and
grow in a new way! I have attached a document that clearly explains
what fasting is all about.

Again, thank you for your continued partnership in what we do here!
There is no greater use of your life than to join with what will last
forever... the eternal body of Christ, the Church!

PS- our Easter service times will be 9am, 11am, 1pm, 5pm & 630pm.
Since the 9,11, & 5 will be our largest to date, try to plan on
attending the 1pm or 630pm if possible. We want to be able to fit
everyone in who God sends us this year!

Feb 15th Parking Assignments

4 Services was a big success!

Hey everyone! I have been getting the surveys from the first and second time guests over the past week from the church! Wow. Unbelievable how many people attended Eastlake for the first time this past weekend. You wouln't believe how many people mentioned what a huge first impression the parking team was! Many surveys said it really helped them feel at ease knowing that there was structure and organization along with smiling faces guiding them in. Thanks for all your help with this past weekends success!

Feb 8th Parking Assignments

Okay! Here we go with 4 service sunday. As you can see we have added a bunch of new people and it will be great. If you are new to the team and working during the night service the Jackets, Vests and Walkie talkie's are located next to the kitchen area. Head there and get your stuff and Barry Glenn will help you figure out where you are supposed to be. Have fun.

I will be gone this Sunday and Rob Rees and Pat will be coordinating stuff.

If you are going to be at tonights parking party at the Glenn's house it will be fun. If you didn't get the evite and want to come just let me know and i'll get you directions. January 18th Parking Assignments!

Here is this weeks parking info. A couple of notes. Sunday is my wife's birthday so if you see her make sure you say Happy Birthday to her! Thanks, Also, Barry and Joan Glenn are going to be hosting a parking team party at there home on Friday, February 6th. Time is TBD. We may include the Greeters in this party so stay tuned. We will release more info and Joan will be sending out an E-VITE. We have a bunch of new team members, Garret Birkeland, John Cokos, Paul Anderson, Josh Jessup, Clint Martin and Brent Caley. Thanks to the new guys for joining and to the current team for making everyone feel welcomed.

Okay. With growth groups being released this week I encourage everyone to get in one! They are so much fun and an amazing way to get connected with others in the church. Also, we have an eastlake parking team group on Facebook. If you want to join it please do so. We will be posting team photos there. Have a good one.
