February 28 Schedule

Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone for all your help with the team and want everyone to know how important this group is to Eastlake! This team is vital and everyone has done a great job! I am writting this for a couple reasons.

First of all we are in serious need of help with our night team! Josh, Rod, Robert, Bryce & Curt have been pretty much the only guys doing this huge job! It is not just about the time but about the safety! Josh is about ready to have a baby and we need new help. Please if you know of someone who could help out even just one sunday a month that would be appreciated.

Secondly I am going to be stepping away from the parking team. I have absolutely enjoyed this group but I feel that it is time for new leadership! Jonah McKee is the new staff contact for the team and will be involved in helping facilitate the growth of the team. I will still be serving at Eastlake but am going to find a different capacity to serve in and help the church out in a different capacity. Thanks so much for all your help.

Brian

February 21 Schedule

Hi guys! Here's this week's parking schedule, sorry it's a little late. Please email me asap if you can't make it (rebekah.haney@gmail.com). Also, we're expecting increased traffic volume at the evening service due to baptisms. If you can help out with entry starting around 5:30, please drop me an email.

Hi guys! Couple new things and reminders for Sunday:

  • Is anyone from the earlier services interested in switching to the evening services (either really switching or just once/month)?
  • Don't forget to grab a radio, particularly if you'll be in the back lot. If someone has an accident or needs help that's the fastest way to get it. All the radios have been tested and work.
  • We're adding cones to the back lot and need to make sure a couple of guys are back there for both entry and exit.
  • For entry- stand between the two main lanes, not at the row heads. Cars slow down when they see someone where they don't expect.
  • The 6 handicap spaces near the walkway to Russell's are ours to use and there are handicap spaces in the back lot.
  • Welcome new guys! Mike Hayes (is not so new any more) and Evan McLaughlin are joining us at the 11:20am service.
Newly modified traffic flow for entry:
Start with all rows coned off and all traffic directed toward back lot. Someone needs to stand at the corner by the dumpster as usual, but also at the corner of the building to prevent people from turning right and filling the rows from the back (this contradicts the conclusions we came to at the last gathering of the team, but work with me here). Also a couple guys in the back who move toward the front of the front lot as spaces fill. Then rows open as follows:
  • Open Row 6 & 7 at 9:05
  • Open Row 4 & 5 at 9:15
  • Open Row 3 at 9:25
  • Open Row 3 at 9:30
For the 11:20 service replace all the "9"s with "11"s. This should ease congestion as cars come into the parking lot. Notice we are not specifically filtering out cars with kids.

It's going to be a great week for parking! There is no evening service this Sunday, so we can expect a little more volume in the morning. If you're not scheduled and you're free, grab a coat and head to the parking lot. Email me if there are any errors (or anything): rebekah.haney@gmail.com.
